Patriotic Song Lyrics introduced to NH classrooms

Some elementary students in New Hampshire are hearing patriotic music for the first time in school. Kindergarten through 5th grade teachers in Nashua and Concord are teaching their students patriotic songs. The teachers say the parents have been supportive of the idea. One teacher says she was surprised at how much her students didn't know about the national anthem and other patriotic songs. She says she's glad to be able to teach them. Another teacher says he thinks it's important for kids to learn about patriotic songs and their history. He says he hopes the students will be able to sing the songs with pride when they're older.   SchoolAssemblies sm show, SPIRIT OF AMERICA aims to do just that.  We introduce kids to the music that made our country great.  An interactive assembly show that is both fun and funny, displaying patriotic song lyrics for the kids encourages singing along to these patriotic favorites!
